BUILDING THE REPLICA | THE BUILDING PROCESS | PREVIOUS | NEXT

SEPTEMBER 1, 1997

The mural on the west wall gives
a period feel to the Lotteries
Duyfken Village Shipyard

Before the frames are fitted the
plank shell is held together by
temporary cleats.

Duyfken is not a large ship
but her transom structure is massive

The warm coloured oak timbers
of the stern structure reach
right to the roof of the shipyard.
