It's getting close to crunch time -- do we or don't we motor and, if we do, when do we start the engines? We've had light to moderate SSWlies for the last three days and, with a huge SWly swell, we've been making good NNW.
Unless the wind changes soon - and there's no change forecast before Thursday - it looks like we'll be under iron topsails for the rest of the voyage. It's a shame, but we just haven't had the speed to get us far enough into the West to met the SEly airflow.
Despite the prognosis, all is well on board. Today we have seen two ships - but not much else.
