Day's run. 00 nm. We make the big effort today to achieve the results we want it is going to be full on to have all of the jobs finished by tonight. I have decided to l eave tomorrow on the evening tide rather than the morning, this will give u s an extra half day for the paint to dry and harden. It means that we will be leaving in the twilight so visibility will not be that good, still if my contribution to all of this work is by getting the vessel out in tricky li ght so that the crew's hard work will last then so be it. We are lucky to be able to have half of our crew staying at the yacht club in the clubs guest accommodation. It has been a bit of a shuffle to make it fair on all but it has worked well and everyone has enjoyed the comfort of the beds. Despite this we have been accused of assisting in the attempt to steal some pictures from the club. The accusations are fair enough as we a re staying there and it is easy to point the finger but while my crew can a nd do some really stupid things it has to my knowledge never been malicious or knowingly illegal. However the police have been involved and questions are being asked, forcing me to make inquiries myself. I know that several o f the lads who were staying at the club tied one on that night at the pub b ut I do not know if they brought any one home who could have been involved. I hope we can sort this out quickly and keep our reputation clean and hono urable. I am sure we are not involved but it is a bit sticky for moment and I am going to have to work hard to keep in the good books. Any one want to be a captain? As the wind dropped and the night closed in so did a thick fog, just what w e do not want for tomorrow when we depart. Last thing that I want to do is cross one of the busiest shipping channels in the world at night and in fog . I just hope the weather will behave for another four days.
