Welcome to Duyfken Friends and Volunteers page.

1. Gala arrival 11.00am Sunday 23 September, Victoria Quay, Fremantle Harbour - welcome home the crew from their five month voyage from Sydney to Fremantle.  Registered/financial Friends and Volunteers are invited to the official welcome home reception with the Premier of Western Australia Hon Colin Barnett MLA, at the Western Australian Maritime Museum 11.00am - 12.00noon.  RSVP essential by Monday 17/9/12 to Mark Gerovich at

2. The ship will be temporarily berthed at the "Sardine Jetty" adjacent to the Endeavour Shed, 1 Mews Road Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, and be open to the public for tours on-board from Saturday 29 September. Friends of Duyfken welcome to come aboard and welcome home the crew. Volunteer guides needed.

3.  After a short period at the Sardine Jetty, the ship wil be permanantly berthed behind Little Creatures Brewery.

4.   Shipkeepers required to begin the care of Duyfken on her berth every night from Sunday 23 September. A shipkeeper sleeps aboard the ship overnight and makes sure she stays safe. It's a wonderful way to be part of Duyfken without having to cope with six metre swells and gales like our crew. You get to enjoy the setting sun in Fremantle, the gentle gurgling of the water against the hull as you nod off to sleep, and then the beautiful morning environment of Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. Contact Mark Gerovich on 0417 239987 or to put your name down.
