For two years Duyfken has been growing
cocooned in a shed and encumbered
with scaffolding. Over the first weekend
of 1999 the scaffolding came off,
revealing the ship's shape for the first time.

The roof came off letting in the light.

The whole shed was lifted off without a
scratch to the ship.

And the graceful profile of the ship is revealed
against the backdrop of the Western Australian
Maritime Museum.

ship for launching on 24th January.
