Duyfken to join 'Talk like a Pirate Day' celebrations

Fremantle will be celebrating 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day’ this Sunday (22 September ) with a free family event …  and the Duyfken will be joining in.

Organised by the West Australian Medieval Alliance, most of the action will be down on the Esplanade.  There will be medieval-type market stalls, sword fighting demonstrations and wandering entertainers such as Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, belly dancers, pirates and musicians.

Duyfken will be joining in the fun.  Our crew will be dressed up in pirate gear and we’ll have a local musician from 10am and a storyteller at 12pm and 2pm. The ship will be open to visitors for a gold coin donation.

The Shipwreck Galleries will be running pirate activities for children.
