Concept image of Duyfken in Elizabeth Quay redevelopment

07-Aug-2013

Premier Colin Barnett has released an artist's impression of the Duyfken at its winter mooring in the Elizabeth Quay redevelopment.

The ship will become a major attraction for families and visitors on an island in the centre of a 2.7ha inlet within the redevelopment.

Also to be included on the island will be the reconstructed Florence Hummerston Kiosk and a children’s playground.

The $440 million project is well underway. The first stage of works, which involve laying foundations for the precinct, is near completion. Construction of the inlet is due to commence soon.
