How did you first get involved with the Duyfken
project?
Giving a helping hand during one of the daysails in Sydney and heard
of this trip to Holland while we were getting the Batavia back to
Holland by containership made me a bit jealous. |
Why are you embarking on the Duyfken Voyagie?
To
get more sailing experience and to use this in my trade as rigger
and just for the kick of it. |
What do you think you will miss the most while
on board?
Spare time

What is the most unusual item in your sea chest?
Some bottles
of Dutch courage. |
How will you cope with the primitive conditions
aboard?
Pretty
good . |
What do you find is the most difficult aspect
of sailing aboard Duyfken?
To live on
the ship with my girlfriend and not have sufficient room for that
private thing, you know. |
