How did you first get involved with the Duyfken project?
After having spent a week as a volunteer while the vessel was preparing to leave in Sydney I felt that this was a great adventure and wanted to be a part of it.
Why are you embarking on the Duyfken Voyagie?
The accomplishment of having pushed new limits and succeeding. To learn how to sail.
What do you think you will miss most while aboard Duyfken?
Guiness.
What is the most unusual item in your sea chest?
Irridesant pelolaigic theise(?), a rock that comes from North America or Norway. Trapped gasses inside shine in the light with different colours.
How will you cope with the primitive conditions aboard?
I look forward to a simpler and more basic way of life.
What do you find is the most difficult aspect of sailing aboard Duyfken?
Keeping everything in perspective, not losing sight of the incredible experience that has been presented to me.
