Spirit of N.Z., Soliloquy (own yacht), made a punt for the local creek when I was a kid (sailed on it). Invented a submarine at age 12 (didn't sail it, luckily).
How did you first get involved with the Duyfken project?
Accompanied Julie (who was relief cook) on a short coastal passage in Queensland.

How do you cope with life aboard a small ship such as Duyfken?

What is the most unusual item in your sea chest?
Is an eye patch unusual on such a vessel?

What do you find is the most difficult aspect of sailing aboard Duyfken?
Living in close confinement with all these other people.
What do you think will be the highlight of the voyage?
Achieving harmony with the rest of the crew after being so close in difficult living conditions.
