Endeavour for a total of about a week, otherwise very little other sailing experience hence my lowly position.
How did you first get involved with the Duyfken project?
By repeatedly pestering the captain on the telephone.
Why are you embarking on the Duyfken Voyagie?
Sailing around the world in a tall ship has always been a schoolboy dream.
How do you cope with life aboard a small ship such as Duyfken?
By building a good rapport with the rest of the crew.
What is the most unusual item in your sea chest?
Clean Clothes?
How will you cope with the primitive conditions aboard?
With a sense of humour.
What do you find is the most difficult aspect of sailing aboard Duyfken?
Unsure, but possibly lack of personal space and cabin fever.
What do you think will be the highlight of the voyage?
Sighting land.
